Carex conica ‘Snowline’
Japanese Sedge |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 8.090.350
One of several evergreen selections of Sedge from Japan, this forms a low grasslike mound of narrow green leaves, each edged in silvery-white. Slow growing in habit, but excellent for edging, mass planting, or including in the shady rock garden or containers. Prefers a moist site. Leaf tips may be trimmed in spring if they turn brown. Clumps may be divided in early spring, but divisions should be generous in size for best results. Insignificant greenish flowers appear in May.
