Carex morrowii Evercolor® Everglow
Plant number: 8.090.870Sedges are grass-like plants, mostly preferring sites with moist, rich soil. This selection from the Evercolor® series forms a low cascading clump of leathery leaves with a distinctive green central stripe and orange margins from early fall to late winter, fading to a more cream variegation from spring to summer. Brownish flowers are insignificant. A choice plant for edging, or in the rock garden. This is a well-behaved plant. If the tips of the leaves get wind-burn over the winter, they may be trimmed with scissors in the spring. Clumps may be divided in early spring. Tolerates dry shade with occasional watering.
