This species bears large, nodding urn-shaped flowers, in shades of bright blue. Flowers are followed by fluffy seed heads in the autumn. Excellent for cutting. This species is tolerant of hot, humid summer regions, as well as cold winter climates. Clumps will need to be staked, or else allowed to sprawl over a nearby shrub.
