Cortaderia selloana
Pampas Grass |
USDA Zone: 8-10 |
Plant number: 8.110.100
Pampas Grass is one of the most spectacular ornamental grasses, forming a large evergreen clump with very tall plumes of white flowers in autumn that last for months. Needs plenty of room to develop. Plumes and leaves are both great for cutting. In cold winter regions Pampas Grass may be successfully wintered in a container indoors but plants will be smaller and will not always flower reliably. Remove any dead leaves in spring, wearing goggles and thick gloves for protection. Very drought resistant once established.
