Cyrtomium fortunei
Holly Fern |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 9.025.100
This is the hardiest type of Holly Fern. The foliage is medium-green in colour, the leaves held on arching fronds from a well-behaved clump. Plants love a rich, moist site but still require excellent drainage. Semi-evergreen, the leaves should be trimmed back to the base in late winter. Mulch for the winter in Zones 5 and 6. Clumps may be divided in early spring every 4 to 5 years if desired. Good for mass planting in mild winter regions.
