Dianthus Dessert™ Raspberry Swirl

Dessert Series Pinks

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.180.470

(=‘Devon Siskin’) Also known as Border Pinks. The Dessert Series™ of pinks are midsized in habit, offering fragrant single blooms from spring right in the autumn, over a low mound of grassy blue-green leaves. This selection produces an early summer display of fragrant, single light-pink flowers with deep-maroon picotee edge and eye. As they age, the light-pink turns to white and the deep maroon to magenta. Shear plants back lightly after blooming to maintain a tight, compact habit. Inclined to repeat flower in the fall. Plants require good drainage and are an excellent choice for hot dry sites or gravelly soils. Combines beautifully with other low alpine or edging plants. Attractive to butterflies. Evergreen. Bred in England by Whetman Pinks. USPP#14377: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
