Fringed Bleedingheart is native in the Eastern USA. This selection has a low habit, with attractive ferny light- green foliage. White locket-shaped flowers are held on arching stems just above the leaves from mid spring through early summer. An excellent plant for woodland gardens and shady, moist borders. Plants may be divided in spring or early fall. This species is tolerant of hot, humid summer regions. May go completely dormant by late summer.
