Echinacea ‘Rocky Top Hybrids’
Coneflower |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.196.920
A distinctive form of Coneflower, this plant forms a midsized mound of narrow green leaves, bearing medium-sized soft-mauve daisies with a large greenish-black cone. Petals bend upwards in a charming way. Coneflowers are sturdy and carefree perennials. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Plants may be easily divided in early spring. Self-sown plants can also be moved at that time. Excellent for cutting. Good drought tolerance once established. Seems to prefer lime or alkaline soil conditions.
