Euphorbia characias ssp. wulfenii
Evergreen Spurge |
USDA Zone: 7-9 |
Plant number: 1.208.120
A favourite of gardeners in mild-winter regions, usually used as a specimen plant or focal point in the winter and early spring border. Plants form an upright, bushy mound, the stems surrounded with leathery blue-green leaves that remain evergreen. Huge clusters of greenish-yellow flowers open in very early spring, contrasting beautifully with the foliage. A unique, bold sculptural plant. In colder regions this may be grown in a container and brought indoors to a cool, bright spot to winter. CAUTION: skin and eye irritant/toxic if eaten.
