Euphorbia dulcis ‘Chameleon’
Chameleon Spurge |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.208.500
This is one of several excellent selections of Spurge, becoming increasingly popular in gardens. Plants form a mound of stunning burgundy-purple foliage, bearing small clusters of greenish-yellow flowers, flushed with purple in spring and early summer. Clip plants back hard in July, and they will stay beautiful and mounding all season long. Will self-seed true to form. Easily divided in early fall or spring. This is among the best of all purple-leaved perennials for cold winter regions. Seedlings are easily relocated while small. Deer sometimes will bother this species. CAUTION: skin and eye irritant/toxic if eaten.
