Helleborus × hybridus ‘Tutu’
Lenten Rose |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.256.890
The Lenten Rose is an easy spring blooming perennial for the shady woodland garden. Plants produce bushy mounds of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy cup-shaped blooms. This selection has flowers of medium pink, with a small double anemone-style centre crowned in a tuft of yellow stamens. A vegetative selection reproduced commercially by tissue culture. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter before the buds emerge, to allow the flowers maximum impact. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
