Hosta ‘Satisfaction’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.277.070

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This large and colourful specimen selection has pointy dark-green leaves with a wide golden-yellow streaky margin, slightly rippled in texture. Tall stems of pale lavender flowers appear in summer. Particularly well suited to being used as a focal point, or even all by itself in a big container or tub. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years. A variegated sport of ‘Piedmont Gold’ registered by C. Wasitis/Bridgewood Gardens in 2000.
