Native to the alpine meadows in the Rockies, this is a tough yet beautiful low-growing perennial, best suited to the rock garden or in a dry, sunny border. It forms a low tuft or mound of feathery green leaves, bearing rather large bright-yellow daisy flowers in late spring. Drought-tolerant once established. Clumps may be divided in spring, if desired.
