USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.291.050
Louisiana Iris are a complex group of hybrids descended from species native to the southern USA. They offer intriguing colours and thrive in moist to wet locations and are very tolerant of heat and humidity. This tall selection has elegant, two-tone, purple-red blooms with contrasting markings of golden yellow. Flowers appear in early summer. Perfect at the waterside but also happy in a moist border. Require moisture to produce blooms so don't allow to dry out. Divide plants in early autumn, every 3 to 4 years. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
