Leucanthemum × superbum Gold Rush
Shasta Daisy |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.316.640
(='LeuKal 01') A remarkable German introduction, this produces shaggy double white daisies with a centre of shorter creamy-yellow petals surrounding a golden eye. Stems are compact, the habit mounded making this ideal for the edge of a sunny border or in containers. Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming time. Shasta Daisy is a well-behaved garden hybrid, and should not be confused with the weedy Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare). Bred in 1999 by Helmut Kaliebe in Tiefensee, Germany. USPP#15204: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
