Peucedanum ostruthium ‘Daphnis’
Variegated Peuce Masterwort |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.408.600
A colourful variegated shade perennial, recently introduced from France. This forms a slow spreading clump of divided grey-green leaves, smartly edged in creamy white. Heads of lacy white Queen-Anne’s-Lace type flowers appear during the summer. Appreciates a rich, moist soil and at least afternoon shade. Not invasive, although plants at first glance resemble the fast-spreading Aegopodium. Foliage is said to be intensely fragrant in a pleasant way. Umbels of flowers are nice for cutting.
