Phlox × procumbens ‘Variegata’
Variegated Trailing Phlox |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.410.300
This Phlox is rather unusual, grown as much for its charming foliage as for the flowers. It forms a low trailing mound of rounded green leaves, strongly splashed with creamy-white. Clusters of fragrant pink flowers are held above in mid to late spring. This is a real gem for the part-shaded rock garden, and could also be used as a low edging for the border. Useful also in alpine troughs, scree gardens or walls. In regions with hot humid summers this selection will appreciate protection from afternoon sun. Slow growing and choice.
