Pimpinella major ‘Rosea’

Pink Pimpinella

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.423.520

Also known as Burnet Saxifrage. This little-known perennial resembles a pink Queen-Anne’s Lace, with umbels of glowing rose to soft-pink blooms that are terrific for cutting. Flowers appear from late spring into mid summer. Forms a non-spreading mound without a tendency to self seed all over. An easy-care perennial that combines especially well with hardy shrub roses. Attractive to butterflies. The carrot-like root makes division a little bit tricky. May come true from seed. Plants growing in dry locations will be shorter.
