Pulsatilla vulgaris ‘Papageno’

Pasque-flower

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.450.350

(Formerly Anemone pulsatilla) A long-time favourite for the spring garden, this strain of Pasque-flower introduces a whole range of colours and a unique flower shape. Plants form low tufts or mound of ferny green leaves, bearing crocus-like flowers with single to double fringed petals, from white to soft pastel pinks, through to rich deep purple and red. Hardy and reliable, these are even drought tolerant once established. Happy in any sunny location, and also tolerating part shade. Plants may be divided in early fall, or will self seed where happy. Fluffy seed heads provide summer interest. Cut back in late fall.
