Verbascum ‘Cherry Helen’
Hybrid Mullein |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.537.240
Cousins to the common roadside mullein, the Hybrid Mulleins are unusual and showy plants for the well-drained sunny border. Triangular grey-green leaves are held in a low rosette, bearing tall upright spikes with delicate blooms of glowing cherry to plum-red. Plants flower over a long period, and the spikes are excellent for cutting. Remove faded blooms to encourage more buds. A sport of the very popular selection ‘Helen Johnson'. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
