A wonderful garden hybrid developed from species native to the Southwestern USA. This selection features loose spikes of vivid, rose-purple flowers over a compact mound of fragrant bronze-green foliage that is deer and slug resistant. Extremely useful in containers or tubs, or integrated into the perennial border. Flowers are also edible and fun to sprinkle into salads or use as a garnish, and they are attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. Survives the winter best in mild regions, otherwise treat as an annual. Drought tolerant.
