Ajuga reptans ‘Golden Glow’
Carpet Bugle |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.030.410
Also known as Bugleweed, this makes a superb evergreen groundcover in shady areas. It forms a low carpet of rounded leaves, brightly splashed with creamy-yellow and mint-green. Short spikes of deep blue flowers appear in mid to late spring. Less vigorous habit than most forms. Not the best choice for extremely dry shade conditions, like under maple or evergreen trees. Will perform well in tubs or mixed containers. In warm summer regions this may need protection from hot afternoon sun. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
