USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 8.090.320
This grasslike plant is a native North American wildflower. It forms an upright clump of fresh green leathery leaves. Although the flowers are not showy, they are followed by large star-shaped seedpods that are interesting to use in floral arranging. Excellent at the waterside, or in a moist border. Best in partial shade. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. Dead foliage should be cut to the ground in late fall or early spring.
