Coreopsis verticillata ‘Sweet Marmalade’
Plant number: 1.165.270Threadleaf Coreopsis forms a spreading clump of very delicate, ferny foliage and is native to the eastern United States, east of the Mississippi River, growing in dry, sunny locations where it is tolerant of drought, poor soil, heat and neglect. This new introduction bears loads of flowers that open deep orange then lighten to a soft apricot-yellow as the season progresses. Blooming begins in summer and lasts into the fall. Attractive to butterflies. Excellent in the middle of the sunny border, in mixed containers and as a cut flower. Clipping off faded flowers will encourage buds to form all season.
