Cortaderia selloana ‘Pumila’
Dwarf Pampas Grass |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 8.110.090
Pampas Grass is one of the most spectacular ornamental grasses, forming a large evergreen clump with very tall plumes of white flowers in autumn that last for months. This dwarf selection is one of the most hardy and showy forms featuring silvery-cream, silky plumes on a short, compact habit. Plumes and blue-green leaves are both great for cutting and drying. Due to its size, this may be successfully wintered in a container indoors but it will not always flower reliably. Remove any dead leaves in spring, wearing goggles and thick gloves for protection. Very drought resistant once established.
