This Coneflower features large, fragrant, tangerine petals surrounding a prominent deep copper cone and because of its colour, was named after a European butterfly by the same name. Long blooming. Plant habit is well-branched, strong and bushy. Ideal for sunny borders, massing and growing in mixed containers. Attractive to butterflies. Excellent for cutting. Coneflowers begin blooming in midsummer and continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed. However leaving some spent blooms on the plants in the fall provides food for wintering birds.
