Echinacea purpurea ‘Raspberry Truffle’
CONE-FECTIONS Coneflower |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.650.420
This selection, a double-flowered Coneflower, has blooms that emerge single, coral pink with a chocolate cone. As they mature, the flowers develop the strawberry-peach pompom centre. Plant habit is well-branched, strong and bushy with dark stems. Ideal for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers. Attractive to butterflies. Excellent for cutting. Coneflowers begin blooming in midsummer and continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed. Leaving some spent blooms on the plant in the fall will provide food for wintering birds. Dried seed heads also add interest to the winter garden. Part of the CONE-FECTIONS™ series bred by Arie Blom of the Netherlands and introduced by AB Cultivars/Plants Nouveau. USPP#22612: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
