(Formerly known as L. olbia ‘Rosea') Tree Mallows are terrific for summer and autumn display, especially when grown as patio specimens. This selection forms a large upright bush of maple-shaped grey-green leaves. Bright pink Hollyhock-like flowers are begin to appear in early summer and continue for months. This woody shrub is usually cut back hard each spring to a height of 8 to 12 inches. In colder regions Lavatera may be grown in a container and overwintered indoors.
