Leucanthemum × superbum Broadway Lights™
Shasta Daisy |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.316.530
(=‘Leumayel’) A remarkable introduction from the Netherlands, this produces daisies in a gorgeous butter-yellow shade fading to ivory, giving a multicoloured effect. It forms a midsized mound of leathery green leaves, ideal for a sunny border. Excellent for cutting. Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming time. Shasta Daisy is a well-behaved garden hybrid, and should not be confused with the weedy Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare). Well worth a try in Zone 4 or colder, particularly with reliable winter snow cover. USPP#19242, CPBR#3028: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
