Plants come up in the fall, first producing short stems of pink or white flowers, like shooting stars, the petals bending backwards, away from the pointed centre. Beautiful foliage appears next, in shades of grey-green with purplish markings, lasting through the winter months. Plants go completely dormant for the summer months, so mark the spot carefully.
