Lobelia speciosa Fan Blue

Fan Lobelia

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.328.210

(=‘Fan Blau’) The perennial Lobelias have upright spikes of large flowers, not at all like the more familiar trailing types grown in hanging baskets. They are terrific plants for the boggy garden, adapting well to ‘wet feet', but growing equally well under average conditions. This selection has a compact, bushy habit, bearing blue-violet flower spikes, late summer through fall, over a clump of green leaves. Excellent for using as a specimen or massing in the border, containers or tubs. Nice for cutting. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
