Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Presto’
Dwarf Coreopsis |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.165.570
Also known as Tickseed. This dwarf strain is a good edging plant for the front of a sunny border. Forms a compact mound of dark green leaves, bearing semi-double golden-yellow daisies for weeks on end, starting in early summer. Removing faded flowers regularly will encourage blooming to continue into the autumn. Plants are easily divided in early spring, and this should be done every 2 to 3 years. Tolerant of hot, humid summer climates. Excellent in containers and great in the rock garden. Attractive to butterflies. Winner of a 2007 Fleuroselect Gold Medal.
