Native to the woodlands of the Pacific Northwest, this fern in often seen growing in damp moss or on rotting logs. Plants form an upright clump of finely divided dark green fronds, well suited to massing in a woodland garden. This is a well-behaved non invasive species. Prefers a moist soil on the acidic side. Deciduous.
