Erysimum ‘John Codrington’
Shrubby Wallflower |
USDA Zone: 6-9 |
Plant number: 1.206.130
A shrubby, dwarf-growing Wallflower selection that does best in mild-winter regions. Handsome deep green leaves nicely set off the profuse clusters of pale yellow and brown fragrant flowers. This is perfect for the sunny rock garden, or as an edging along a border. Plants are naturally compact and mounding, but pruning back by half after flowering is wise. Drought tolerant once established. Pretty much impossible to divide, new plants are best started by rooting tip cuttings in spring or early summer. Combines beautifully with red or maroon-leaved neighbours.
