Geum ‘Werner Arends’
Dwarf Orange Geum |
USDA Zone: 2-9 |
Plant number: 1.235.030
Also known as Avens, this offers a flash of hot colour for the early summer border. Plants form a low clump of coarse green leaves, with branching stems held above bearing medium-sized rounded flowers. This selection has bright orange, single blooms. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more buds. Plants may be pruned back hard after blooming, to rejuvenate the foliage. Clumps should be divided every 3 to 4 years in spring or fall. Excellent compact selection, extremely hardy. Evergreen. Often sold incorrectly as the selection ‘Borisii'.
