Geum ‘Georgenburg’
Dwarf Geum |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.235.080
Also known as Avens, this offers a flash of hot colour for the early summer border. This long flowering selection forms a low clump of coarse green leaves. Branching wine-red stems rise taller, bearing medium-sized saucer-shaped single blooms of bright golden orange. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more buds. Plants may be pruned back hard after blooming, to rejuvenate the foliage. Clumps should be divided every 3 to 4 years in spring or fall. Evergreen in mild winter regions.
