Helenium Pipsqueak
Dwarf Helenium |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.245.450
(='Blopip') Also known as Helen's Flower, or Sneezeweed, there are many fine hybrid selections, valued for their late summer display of daisy-like flowers. This variety forms a low, bushy mound of green leaves, bearing loads of brown-eyed bright-yellow daisies, the petals gently drooping. Excellent in the border, as well as for cutting. Performs best when grown in a moist, rich soil and watered during summer droughts. Powdery mildew can sometimes be a problem. Attractive to butterflies.
