Helleborus × hybridus ‘Ruse Black’
Lenten Rose |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.256.660
The Lenten Rose is an easy spring blooming perennial for the shady woodland garden. Plants produce bushy clumps of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy cup-shaped blooms. This strain produces deep midnight black-blue flowers with a tuft of white stamens. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter to give the flowers maximum impact. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
