Sage-leaf Mullein |
USDA Zone: 2-9 |
Plant number: 1.409.200
This recent introduction is virtually unknown to North American gardeners, but worth considering for a sunny border position. Plants form a mound of coarse green leaves, bearing many tall spikes of mauve-pink hooded flowers, arranged in tiers or layers around the stem. Dead stems have good winter effect. Drought tolerant once established. Clumps may be divided in early spring. Excellent for cutting.
