(='PPPHL07201') This is a new hybrid, appearing much like the subulata or Moss Phlox type, that forms a low mound or cushion smothered with flowers in late spring. The spreading foliage is dark green and the fragrant flowers are deep purple with a darker purple eye. Drought tolerant once established. Good choice for containers, edging and rock gardens. Long blooming and attractive to butterflies. Japanese-bred cross of P. subulata and P. divaricata. USPP#23705: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
