Phlox paniculata ‘Shockwave’

Summer Phlox

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.415.990

Large, fragrant Hydrangea-like flower clusters of Summer Phlox create a spectacular show in the summer border. This selection has lavender-pink flowers but the impact is in the foliage. The leaves are boldly variegated bright yellow and green with the margins changing to a creamy-yellow as the season progresses. They'll brighten up any garden or container planting. All varieties of Summer Phlox are superb for cutting and may even attract passing butterflies. Flowering is always best in a sunny location. Good mildew resistance although all Summer Phlox benefit from a location that provides good air circulation and consistent moisture. Remove faded flowers to encourage a second bloom. Water well during summer drought.
