Ranunculus repens var. pleniflorus

Double Creeping Buttercup

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.451.100

Creeping Buttercup is a vigorous, spreading plant that is particularly well-suited to growing in sunny, wet areas. Plants form a thick mat of shiny, bright green ferny leaves, bearing small double bright-yellow buttercups beginning in late spring. Stems creep along the ground and root in where they touch. Adapts well to containers, and these can be allowed to sit in a garden pond or saucer of water so they remain constantly moist. Flowers are nice for cutting. This plant is a little too aggressive to allow into most perennial borders. Clumps are easily divided in spring or fall.
