Veronica prostrata ‘Trehane’

Creeping Speedwell

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.540.160

This selection is a lower-growing Speedwell, best suited for use in the rock garden or for edging perennial borders. Plants form a low, mounding clump of bright chartreuse-yellow leaves with loads of rich blue flowers in early summer. Trim plants back after blooming. As this variety is somewhat more sensitive than the green-leaved forms, it should be protected from hot afternoon sun. Also worth considering for use in mixed containers, the foliage contrasting beautifully with other plants. Clumps may be easily divided every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
