Antennaria dioica Red Wonder
Plant number: 1.043.150(=‘Rotes Wunder’) This adorable little carpeting perennial is at home in the sunny rock garden, alpine trough garden or growing between flagstones. It forms a flat carpet of tiny silver-grey leaves, with taller stems of fuzzy cherry-red flowers in late spring. Cut or mow off flower stems after blooming if desired. A tough plant especially suited to hot sunny locations and poor, dry soil. Very drought tolerant. Easily divided in spring by simply ripping the clump apart into smaller pieces.
