Antennaria ‘Roy Davidson’
Dwarf Pussy-toes |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.043.250
Half the size of regular Pussy-toes, this adorable little carpeting perennial is at home in the sunny rock garden, in alpine trough gardens or growing between flagstones. It forms a flat carpet of tiny leaves that are green on top and silver beneath, with short stems of fuzzy pink flowers in late spring. A tough plant especially suited to hot sunny locations and poor, dry soil. Very drought tolerant. Easily divided in spring by simply ripping the clump apart into smaller pieces. Tolerates light foot traffic. Could be used as a lawn substitute in a small area. Evergreen.
