Helenium ‘Sahin’s Early Flowerer’
Fall Helenium |
USDA Zone: 4-9 |
Plant number: 1.245.490
Also known as Helen’s Flower, or Sneezeweed, there are many fine hybrid selections, valued for their late summer display of bright daisy-like flowers. This midsized variety has petals that open deep red then develop orange and yellow streaks. Excellent in the border, as well as for cutting. Plants may require staking to prevent flopping, or pinch in June to reduce the height at blooming time, if desired. Easily increased by dividing in the spring. Received a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (2001).
