False Sunflowers are native from Ontario to Florida and the Mississippi. They are care-free and reliable for their very long season of bloom. This selection forms a tall, bushy clump and features deep, burgundy foliage and 9cm (3.5″) diameter red-orange flowers with a dark brown centre cone, from early summer to early fall. Outstanding cut flower. Removing faded flowers regularly will greatly extend the blooming season. Easily divided in early spring. Easy and always rewarding. Don't allow it to dry out. Attractive to butterflies.
